In an ideal family, parents love and respect each other, they teach their children to grow up to become holistically healthy adults, and the siblings get along. They resolve conflict through open communication and forgive each other. They support and encourage each other, in turn spreading love and blessing to those around them. To some, all this may sound too good to be true. However, I have seen families like this and know it is possible. By setting a strong foundation through dedication, learned insight, and skills training, families can work toward building strong relationships. Using resources such as pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, and parenting training can further the likelihood of success. Whether relationships are newly formed or already established, families at any stage can benefit from these resources and skills.
I count it a privilege and blessing to work with families to help them accomplish this goal. I want to walk alongside you and prayerfully help you achieve positive outcomes for your family. I commit to serving my clients in the best way I know how. I have been married for over forty years, raised two children, and walked through the peaks and valleys of life. These life experiences -- both the ups and downs -- help me understand what other families go through, to better serve you.
I was a teacher for twenty years, teaching preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students in U.S. public schools. Out of those twenty years, I taught ten years at the high school level. In addition, for fifteen years, I was a volunteer Sunday School coordinator for 100+ preschool through 5th grade children at a Chinese church. Over the past few years, I have been teaching parenting, dating, and marriage workshops at various Chinese churches and university Christian fellowships.
