Michaela Circuit

My name is Michaela Circuit, I am a MSW Intern at San Jose State University. I am a young woman with a deep passion for supporting and uplifting the community I live in. With a genuine desire to extend a helping hand to those in need, I have dedicated my life to the field of social work. Through my experiences and encounters, I have come to understand the complexities of human nature and the importance of addressing the multifaceted layers within each individual. 

Life has presented me with various challenges and opportunities that have shaped me into the compassionate and empathetic person I am today. These experiences have provided me with a unique perspective on the struggles individuals face and have instilled in me an unwavering commitment to promoting the overall well-being of my clients. 

In my practice, I adopt a person-centered approach, recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of every individual. I believe that each person possesses their own unique strengths and capabilities, and my role is to provide guidance and support to help individuals uncover their inner resources. 

By creating a safe and non-judgmental space, I empower my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. Together, we work collaboratively to identify their goals and develop a personalized plan that aligns with their values and aspirations. Through active listening, empathy, and effective communication, I strive to establish a therapeutic alliance built on trust and mutual respect. 

As a social worker, I am continuously learning and growing. I stay informed about the latest research, therapeutic techniques, and social issues to ensure that I provide the most effective and culturally sensitive care. I also engage in ongoing self-reflection and supervision to enhance my professional skills and maintain ethical practice. 

It is my genuine pleasure to assist individuals on their journey toward personal growth, healing, and empowerment.
