Tamie has been in the medical field for 27 years working in hospitals and long-term care medical facilities. She brings her medical knowledge and experience to help people in a new and more fulfilling way as a counselor. Tamie’s life has been about serving others and helping them not only physically, but also emotionally, to live their best and healthiest life.
Tamie utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and Adlerian therapy to help people change unhealthy patterns, improve relationships, and develop support systems to live a healthy life. As a counselor, it is important to listen and help you make the changes you want to see in your life.
Area of Focus
Tamie works with people who want to change unhealthy patterns and improve depression, anxiety, and issues related to food and body image. She is a LBGTQ+ Ally.
She is currently finishing fieldwork hours for a Masters in Mental Health Counseling through Capella University and a certificate in Couples and Families. She has associate degree and bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy. She also holds a Health Coach Certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
