I believe that every person has the internal capacity, wisdom and resources to heal; however, some need a little assistance. I provide that assistance by creating and holding a safe and nurturing space for you, which allows you to discuss, process and heal.
Area of Focus
I have a holistic and integrative approach to therapy. I believe that every person is unique, and I will use techniques from different theoretical orientations to meet your needs and goals. My work is influenced by somatic approach, Internal Family System methods, mindfulness techniques, narrative, experiential, and expressive arts therapy modalities, as well as solution and goal-oriented forms of therapy.
Working mainly with children, young adults and families, I bring to my practice over 20 years of experience in education, learning and development, as well as the intuition, empathy and warmth of my real-life experiences. I look forward to working with you.
I am currently completing my master’s degree in Holistic Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University. Prior to attending JFK, I obtained a B.A. in special education from the Tashkent Pedagogical University, Uzbekistan. I speak Russian and have experience working with people of many cultures. After immigrating to the United States, I obtained Child Development credentials and worked as a preschool teacher and Russian language teacher. While studying at JFK, I have been an early interventionist working closely with children and their families.
