Whether they are aware of it or not, people learn and adopt coping styles by watching how others in their lives deal with everyday frustrations, inner battles, and heavy life decisions. Sometimes one’s way of coping offers only a temporary solution, and one finds oneself back in the same state of distress time and again.
Sarah believes therapy can be a truly transformative experience because it provides a safe place to express frustrations, take a look at what is and isn’t working, and explore and learn better ways to cope. Therapy can help uncover what impedes us and discover paths to reach full potential and develop meaningful relationships.
Sarah’s approach to therapy is to create a space in which client and therapist together explore client experiences, generate new perspectives, and work toward healing and personal growth.
Area of Focus
Sarah is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families work through a wide array of challenges including relational and communication issues, family conflict, and emotional disturbances including stress, anxiety, and depression.
Sarah has Bachelors degrees in Psychology and English from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. She is currently working on completing her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University, expected in June 2017.
