I’m training to be a therapist because I love connecting with people. Our time together will be rooted in acceptance, comfort, encouragement, and emotional connection. My desire is to build a safe space where you feel understood and supported. We all have a story that is worthy of honor and respect. I work with individuals, couples, parents, families, and groups. I enjoy helping people overcome a variety of mental health challenges. Please see my areas of focus listed below.

I use a variety of tools to help my clients accomplish their goals. One of my favorites is called TEAM Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). First, I’ll get to know who you are as a unique individual by learning about your life and current circumstances. Then, as a collaborative team, we will develop a plan of action to address your goals. Next, we’ll use some incredible therapeutic tools to help you reach your goals. My hope is that you will become familiar enough with these tools that you’ll be able to use them on your own when you stop seeing me as a therapist. You’ll gain the ability to become your own therapist. That sounds empowering to me! TEAM CBT produces measurable results in a shorter period of time than traditional therapy. You can choose 50-minute weekly appointments or do intensive work by doing longer sessions over a short period of time. We will measure your progress during treatment and assess when you are ready to graduate.

I am also passionate about using Expressive Arts Therapy, particularly focused on writing. Journaling, poetry, rap, song-writing, and other forms of creative writing have a profound way of helping us to experience self-expression, achieve insight, increase self-esteem and self-awareness. This can be a great option for people who enjoy engaging their creative side. I’ve also seen it help people that traditional therapy didn’t work for. People of all skill levels and writing styles are welcome!

If you’d like to schedule a consultation with me, please send an appointment request, a text message, or give me a call. I look forward to hearing from you.
