Darren was raised in a dysfunctional abusive family system and is familiar with the challenges faced in life as a result such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD as well as grief and loss from the death of loved ones. After facing and growing from these challenges Darren believes everyone has a life story to tell and most people have a deep desire to be heard by someone. Darren comes alongside a client to uncover the core issues underlying the problems they may face. Darren will be empathetic, gentle, and humble as he helps a client to work through their issues. Darren’s Christian faith influences his world view and allows him to have unconditional love for a client along with having a non-judgmental attitude.
Darren is married and has two children. He took a 5 year hiatus from counseling after receiving his master’s degree to become a stay at home dad and raise his two children. Darren enjoys spending time with his family, reading and studying the Bible and playing chess and other board games.
