A solution if you can not affordable counseling
Many people are in life situations where they cannot afford the cost of a professional therapist.
At Discovery we have a few options to help.
- Discovery is a Healthy Family Provider - Healthy families is a insurance program for children of families who make too much to qualify for Medi-Cal and make too little to afford health insurance for their children.
- Discovery Counseling Center is a non-profit counseling center dedicated to training new upcoming therapists in the field. Each therapist must accumulate 3000 hours of supervised therapy before they can even apply for their state license. Therapists accumulate these hours as an Intern working under supervision at a site like Discovery. The advantage to you is that they have recently graduated with their Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and charge much less than the normal and customary fee of a licensed therapist.
- Discovery also works with victims of crime through Silicon Valley Faces. If you have been a victim of crime review their site and apply for help. We will be there to help you.
